HERD TESTING FIGURES THAMES VALLEY AVERAGES Averages for February issued by the Auckland Herd Improvement Association show that for the association 1399 herds, totalling 75,104 cows, were tested, with 4661 b. milk, 5.14 test, and 23.91 b. fat averages. The figures for February, 1943, were 1381 herds, 74,031 cows, 5221 b. milk, 5.11 test and 26.71 b. fat. District figures are as follow: — Matatoki-Hikutaia. —26 herds, 1480 cows, 5331 b. milk, 4.94 test, 261 b. fat, with 32 cows and 341 b. fat in the highest herd. Waitakaruru-Patetonga.—42 herds, 2294 cows, 4811 b. milk, 4.99 test, 24 lb. fat, with 52 cows and 341 b. fat in the highest herds.
