MONEY IN CARROTS
£16,200 CHEQUE FOR 50 ACRES ALL SOLD FOR DEHYDRATION A Morrinsville resident furnished the Morrinsville Star.with figures he said he would vouch for of a farmer who is to receive a cheque for £16,200 for a crop of this season’s carrots. The farmer sowed 50 acres, and the yield averaged 12 tons per acre. He has sold for dehydrating at £27 per ton, so that his cheque will be £16,200.
