. bay of plenty races . ■ SUCCESSFUL DAY STAGED autumn meeting at paeroa An increase of £3’591/10/- was handled by the totalisator at the_ y of Plenty Racing Club s Autumia Meeting held at Paeroa on Saturday, | the machine putting through £48,842 10s for the day compared with the same day held at Paeroa last year, when £45,251 was handled. There was a large attendance of the public and although the track was holding after a week’s ram some excellent racing was seen. Paeroa horses were not in the picture throughout the .programme except for a third for Mr H. Evans. Skydonna and although one or two o-ood dividends were paid on the whole the public fancies were in the money.
