Surflen Pins During the week the holders of the Surflen Pins survived a strong challenge from a rink skipped' by T. Lillis. After a strenuous game the holders retained the pins by 23 to 16. Bowling At Whitianga Play has been keen among the bowlers lately at the Whitianga greens. Visitors include a party from the Matamata Club. Coromandel Behind The Coromandel Postmaster advises that the national savings investments for Coromandel for the year ending March 31, 1944, lack £4OO to reach the township’s annual quota. Easter Yacht Races The Coromandel Regatta and Sports Club, at a meeting held in the .School of Mines, on Tuesday last, decided to hold the usual yacht races from Auckland to Coromandel. From information gained from visiting yachtsmen during the Christmas holidays large nominations are expected for this year’s events.
