WEDDING BELLS
COMER—SMITH FORMER WHITIANGA GIRL A quiet wedding took place on Feb'ruary 26 at the Brooklyn Methodist Church, Wellington, when Joyce Ella, second daughter of Mr and Mrs P. J. Smith of Whangarei was married to Virney E. Comer of Wellington, the only son of Mr and Mrs V. Comer, Auckland. The bride wore a fitting gown of ivory satin relieved with embossed stitching's, the train being inlet with lace. Her tulle veil, embroidered in silk, was held in place by a spray of lily of the valley and she carried a shower bouquet of white roses, lilies and lilies of the valley. The officiating clergyman was,, the Rev. C. P. Lukas. At the reception held later at the Grand Hotel, Wellington, the guests were received and entertained to luncheon.
