METALLING OF ROAD
GRANT FROM THE COUNTY KAIMARAMA SETTLEMENT At Wednesday’s meeting of the Coromandel County Council a copy of a letter from the Minister of Works to Mr J. Thorn, M.P. for Thames regarding the metalling of Kaimarama Settlement road was received. After it was proposed by Cr. E. M. Minifie, seconded by Cr. T. E. Simpson, that in view of money spent on this road recently (approximately £3O on bridlge alone) and there being one farmer settler under rehabilitation, the Public Works Department be asked to make the grant for metalling of this road with a contribution of £5O from the county council.—Carried.
