EMPHATIC PROTEST COROMANDEL COUNCIL LETTER TO BE SENT TO BOARD Emphatic protests and objections were made by councillors at the March meeting of the Coromandel County Council in regard 1 to the proposed £50,000' loan for building and other purposes by the Thames Hospital Board. The chief objection was the site. Another emphatic protest was based on the ever-increasing hospital rate. It was finally proposed by Cr. J. G. Strongman and seconded by Cr. A. J. Denize, “that the chairman and office be authorised to write in an objection.” Comments: “And you can’t make it too strong,” by Crs. Denize and Simpson.
