DANCE AT THE BAY

PATRIOTIC FUNDS AIDED SUCCESSFUL EVENING There was a fail’ attendance on Thursday evening at a dance held in Whitianga to assist patriotic funds. Mrs Rose supplied the latest dance tunes on her piano accordion and! the piano. The “La Conga” attracted quite a few dancers while the Monte Carlo was won by Mrs Haines and Mr Dunn. Mr W. Kirk presented a lovely watermelon to the committee. This created keen competition and Miss A. Mohr was the popular winner. Mr Brophy successfully carried out the duties of M.C.
