FIRM DEMAND
VERCOE’S PAEROA SALE GOOD YARDING LAST MONDAY Messrs G. W. Vercoe and Co., report that at their sale held in Paeroa on Monday there was a firm demand for all classes of cattle, fat cows and boners selling on a par with recent sales. There was another large entry of store lambs, prices remaining firm. They quote:— Medium fat cows, £6 4s to £6 13s; light fat cows, £5 5s to £5 l'ss; medium, fat heifers, £5 4s to £5 17s; heavy boners, £4 8s to £4 17s; medium boners, £3 15s to £4 ss; lighter boners, £2 16s to £3 10s; good! Shorthorn Cross store cows, £4 8s to £4 15s; mixed colour 2-year steers, to £5 ss; Jersey S.H.-Cross heifers, r.w.b., £5 12s to £7 10s; others do., £5 5s to £5 10s. Good store lambs, 14s 2d to 14s 6d; medium store lambs, 12s 6d to 13s 9d; smaller do., 9s 9d to Ils; good ewe lambs, to 14s 9d; smaller do., to Ils 6d; f.m. ewes, Ils 9d to 13s 6d; others, to 10s; 2-shear Romney rams, 2gns. Medium baconers, to £4; light porkers, to £2 ss; choppers, £3 3s to £4 3s.
