BETTER WATER SUPPLY
POSITION AT WAITAKARURU MORE PRESSURE REPORTED The settlers on the Canal road', Waitakaruru, are gratified that they now have an ample supply of water since the council removed the threeinch main' and substituted it for a four-inch concrete piping. Each dry spell the farmers, particularly at the top end of the road, have 'been severely handicapped by the poor pressure and the cattle have suffered accordingly. ■lt seems that so far the innovation of the use of the concrete piping is proving satisfactory. One mile of piping was installed, thus easing the difficulties previously encountered.
