£117 RAISED

PATRIOTIC STREET STALL CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE! A very successful Patriotic Street Stall organised by the Paeroa Catholic Women’s League, was held in Paeroa on Friday when the excellent sum of £ll7 l'2s- 2d was raised for the 1944 All • (Purposes Appeal. From early in the morning produce of all descriptions—cakes, vegetables, etc., —started to arrive at the stall, but the demand was such, that practically all were sold as they were handed in. The untiring efforts throughout the day of the ladies, assisted by several enthusiastic men, was largely responsible for the large sum which was collected.
