STREET STALL IN PAEROA
ALL PURPOSES APPEAL AIDED
The excellent .sum of £69 13s 4d was raised in Paeroa on Friday for the 1943 All-Purposes Appeal by the street stall held by the Paeroa District Patriotic Committee.
Donations of cakes, vegetables, eggs, and a host of other articles were received for the stall from the residents of the town, the surrounding districts and from farmers of the Hauraki plains and all met a ready sale.
Under the direction of the Mayoress, Mrs Edwin Edwards, the willing band of ladies enthusiastically conducted the stall and although the weather was far from good, resulting in few people being about, the splendid sum mentioned above was the reward for their untiring efforts.
