OBITUARY

MRS H. A. HARE DEATH AT 91 YEARS OF ACE / The death has occurred at the residence of her daughter, Mrs A. M. Walton, 10 1 Ferner Avenue, Mount Albert, of Mrs Harriet Ann Hare. Born at Deeping, St. Nicholas, Lincolnshire, 91 years ago, Mrs Hare came to New Zealand with her parents in the ship Avalanche, arriving at Auckland in 1863. She married Mr Joseph Hare, one of the pioneers of North Auckland, who was largely instrumental in developing ihe coastal shipping and timber trade in that district.

Mr Hare died eight years ago, and Mrs Haro is survived by three sons end one daup-hter. There are eight grandchildren. Mr H. Hare, of Paerca, is a sen. -
