DAIRY STOCK ON PLAINS ■SALE HELD AT WAITAKARURU There .was a good attendance of buyers at Alfred Buckland and Sons Ltd’s. Waitakaruru sale held on Friday, August 27. A large entry of dairy cows was offered and bidding was keen for all good quality cows and heifers close to profit. Values for boners and stores were fully firm. Best quality dairy cows and heifers to calving made £ll 10s to £l4; good heifers, £9 to £lO 10 s; medium, £7 15s to £8 10s; backward and poor condition, £4 15s to £6 10s. Medium weight fat cows, £9 10s to £ll ss; lighter, £7 10s to £8 15s; light, £6 10s to £7 ss; store cows, £4 to £5 5s according to colour; boner cows, £2 5s to £4 12s 6d; fat wethers up to £2. Yearling heifers, £3 5s to £3 10s for small sorts.
