cattle which met with a ready sale. Close up springing heifers were in keen demand. Best quality dairy heifers, calved and close to profit made from £9 IDs to £11; medium, £8 5s to £9 ss; backward and inferior, £6 to £7 10s; (best quality dairy cows, calved and close to profit, £7 to £8 15s; medium, £6 to £6 15s; backward and inferior, £4 5s to £5 ss.
