BEST SCORES IN RQSE BOWL CHAMPIONSHIP PROGRESS The best scores in the second round ■of the Rose Bowl competition played by the Paeroa Ladies’ Golf Club, were returned by the following:—Mrs G. Bain, 90i-19-71; Mrs M. .Shaw, 87-16-71; Mrs C. W. Lewis, 97-25-72; Mrs Finlay, 104-30-74; Mrs S. T. Oliver, 95-21-74; Mrs L. Jones, 94-16-78; Mrs Carroll, 101-22-79; Mrs P. Jennings, 110-30-80; Mrs H. Morgan, 113-33-80; Mrs G. A. Gamble, 102-19-83. The match for Saturday will be Canadian foursomes for Mrs Finlay’s trophies. . A draw will be made at the club-house. Good progress has ‘been made with the championship matches and the club handicap, the finals for which will be contested respectively by Mrs M. Shaw v. Mrs L. Jones (senior), Mrs G. Bain v. Mrs C. W. Lewis (junior), a,nd Mrs J. Old v. Mrs C. W. Lewis.
