BOROUGH COUNCIL ISSUE CHECK KEPT ON PARKING Fifteen applicants for drivers’ licences, six being from the Army Department in Paeroa, were tested during the period of May, June and July and all passed the required test, reported Traffic-Inspector R. B. Doggett, to the recent meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council. During the same period, added the report, 21 warnings were issued for various traffic offences, one traffic offence notice was issued for a defective vehicle, overloaded and no warrant of fitness, two heavy vehicles were weighed and one was found to 'be overloaded and one traffic offence notice was issued for parking on a pedestrian crossing. Special attention is still being given to vehicle parking- in the main streets,” the report concluded.
