Gumboots wanted
Following a long discussion on the shortage of gumboots, suppliers at the annual meeting of the Te ArohaThames Valley 'Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, held recently, passed a resolution urging the authorities that gum'boots should be released to women working on dairy farms with all possible speed. An amendment to the effect that the appeal should include all farm workers was lost on the grounds that it was necessary to look after the interests of the women first.
