DRIVERS’ LICENCES
FREE ISSUE TO SOLDIERS DECISION OF THE COUNCIL Advice was received from the Transport Department at the August meeting of the Coromandel County Council that the council could, if desired, issue driving licences free of charge to soldiers at present home on furlough. It was proposed and seconded “that if the council has power to issue licences in above cases free of cost to men on furlough the council exercise that right.”—Carried.
