ACCESS WANTED
REQUEST FROM HOUSEHOLDER £5 OFFERED BOROUGH COUNCIL A request for an access to his house on the Esplanade was made by letter by Mr R. A. Leacock, to Thursday night’s meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council. ■ Mr Leacock wrote as under: — “As the access to my house on the Esplanade (off Queen street) is far from satisfactory, I am writing to enquire whether your council would be good enough to construct a good footpath to our front gate. If the council could see' its way clear to carry out the work I am willing to donate £5 towards the cost of same.” Mr C. C. Webb, chairman of the works committee said he had inspected the job and it- would not be very costly to attend to.
It was agreed to carry out the work.
