Borough Accounts Accounts totalling £671 19s Id were passed for payment at Thursday’s meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council. 1 Ohinemuri County Council r In the absence of Mr W. Marshall (chairman), Mr T. A. Barrett presided at the monthly meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council, held on Wednesday in the Coronation Chambers, Paeroa. Other members present were •Councillors G. A. Avery, T. Christiansen, T. Cotter, F. L. Franklin, J. J. Shallue and R. W. Lowry, with the county clerk, Mr A. A. Jenkinson and the county engineer, Mr L. E. Shaw. Turkey Supper and Sinoko A turkey supper and smoke concert was tendered to returned services personnel by the Morrinsville Borough Council and Piako County Council at Morrinsville on Thursday evening. Twenty-six returned men of the present war were the guests and also present were members of the executive of the Morrinsville Returned Services Association and councillors of the Morrinsville Borough and 'Piako County Councils. Borough Council Meets The monthly meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council was held in the Bor-' ough Chambers, Paeroa, on Thursday evening, the Mayor, Mr Edwin Edwards, presiding. Others present were Councillors W. Smith, D. G. McMillan, E. S. Moore, J. Walmsley, F Sparks, C. C. Webb, H. M. Shand and the acting-town clerk, Mr A. A. Jenkinson. Leave of absence was granted to Cr. B. Gwilliam Snr.
