RUGBY ON THE PLAINS
KAIAUA BEAT WAITAKAI;URU MATCH PLAYED ON DOMAIN A hard and fast game of football was played on the Kaiaua Domain recently when the Waitakaruru junior rugby team was defeated by a Kaiaua Maori team six points to nil. The winners’ points were gained by a try and a penalty kick. There was a fair number of spectators who showed their appreciation of the game. Mr Tunnicliffe was the referee. A return match will be played at Waitakaruru at a later date.
