WARNINGS ISSUED
MUST PARK PROPERLY SEQUEL HEARD IN COURT CAR ON PEDESTRIAN CROSSING That in spite of warnings motorists were still offending by parking cars and lorries in Paeroa was brought to the notice of the Paeroa Court on Monday when Traffic-Inspector R. B. Doggett proceeded against Edward Pedersen for parking his car on a pedestrian crossing in Belmont road on June 25. Mr W. H. Freeman, S.M. presided. Traffic Inspector Dogget said that as he had been driving up Belmontroad he had noticed a cai- parked on the pedestrian crossing in Belmont road and had noted the number. Later when he came back the same car was still parked on the crossing so he enquired for the owner from a'nearby store but could not find him so had left a ticket on his wind-screen. “I have had a lot of trouble in 'Paeroa through drivers parking their vehicles on pedestrian crossings and although I have given numerous warnings I am not able to make any headway in stopping the offences,” commented Traffic Inspector Doggett. The Magistrate imposed a fine of 10s with costs 10s.
