AMAZING TRICKS

“THE INVISIBLE WOMAN” PROGRAMME AT REGENT . “MARGIE” WILL SHOW ALSO Intended to outshine «the amazing tricks of its fore-runners, Universal’s “The Invisible Woman,” will show on Thursday and Friday at the Regent Theatre with Virginia Bruce, John Barrymore, John Howard, Charlie Ruggles and Oscar Homolka in starring roles. Novel story of the picture presents Barrymore as an eccentric professor who discovers a formula for human invisibility. Miss Bruce, as a discouraged dress model, offers herself as subject for the scientist’s experiments, which prove completely successful. <■

Thereupon Miss Bruce employs her invisibility to gain revenge on an abusive employer, to torment a young playboy and his befuddled butler with her invisible pranks, and even to round up a gangster mob in a hilarious se- * quence. Howard appears as the playboy who finances the professor’s experiments and who takes an immediate dislike to the Invisible Woman because of her playful nature. He changes his mind, however, when she materialises and he finds that the Invisible Woman is actually a beautiful lady. Described as a romantic comedy set to music, Universal’s tuneful farce, “Margie,” will also show at the Regent Theatre on Thursday and Friday. Tom Brown is seen as a young composer and Nan Grey portrays the pretty wife who inspires him to write the song “Margie” bearing her name. The story follows the exciting adventures which confront the pair when they “take a holiday from love” to try for success in separate careers. FINALLY TO-NIGHT “THE VOICE OF TERROR” “Sherlock Holmes' And The Voice of Terror,” will show finally to-night at the Regent Theatre.
