N.Z. DAIRY COMPANY STATEMENT BY MANAGER PAY-OUT LIKELY THIS MONTH In a statement issued on Monday, Mr C. J. Parlane, general manager of the New Zealand • Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, said that the total surpluses in his company’s profit and loss accounts for the 194243 season amount to £1,158,840, this including the amounts due to suppliers to the company’s butter, cheese,, milkpowder and evaporated milk factories. He said the deferred payment to be made to shtireholding suppliers to the butter department is 2.5115 d, which will make the total average payment to butter suppliers 16.8022 d per lb. butterfat, or, including cartage, 17.1568 d per lb. butterfat. This payment does not include substantial trading rebates. The payments to be made to suppliers to the company’s cheese factories vary according to local conditions, the average over all excluding town milk sales being 19.0179 d per lb. butterfat.
The suppliers to the three milkpowder factories and the evaporated milk factory will be advised within the next few days of the surpluses available in their respective groups. Every effort is- being made to pay out all surpluses in full at the end of this present month.
