STORE PIGS WANTED
GOOD VALUES AT KOPU SALE BEEF KEENLY SOUGHT Dalgety and Co., report a full entry of dairy cattle, including an advertised herd, at their Kopu sale held last Tuesday. There was a small entry of beef and a medium yarding of -store, pigs. Dairy cattle sold under a firm demand, cows and heifers close to profitbeing keenly sought. The advertised. herd was low in condition but were keenly competed for, selling to £ll 2s 6d. Beef sold, under very- keen competition, good cows realising to £9 17s 6d. Store pigs were also sold and values showed an all-round improvement. Quotations: —Heavy prime cows, to £9 17s 6d; medium, £7 10s to £8 ss; lighter, £5 15s to £6 15s Od; medium boners, £2 15s to £4 2s 6d; light, £2 to £2 5s Od. Dairy cattle. —Young cows, close to profit, £ll 2s 6d; early calvers, to £10; more backward, £7 to £8 5s Od; heifers, close to profit, to £9 17s 6d; backward, £7 to £8 5s .od. Store pigs, £1 12s Od to £2 2s Od; -slips, £1 6s Od to £1 10s Od.
