MONSTER CONCERT
CARNIVAL DANCE AFTERWARDS COROMANDEL UGLY MAN The Coromandel Repertory Theatre is presenting three plays and some variety items on Friday, July 30. Those popular young comedians, Eric and Noel are to be well to the fore during the night and Ray Hawley is making a return to the footlights after an absence of some years. Following the concert there is to ■be a carnival dance. During the dance the Champion Ugly Man of Coromandel will be elected. There appears to be great rivalry for this honour. Jock McNeil of the hospital staff appeal’s to be making good headway but A. R. King should be running neck and neck with him when the straight is reached. Eric Gamble and Paul Murphy should also make a good showing but competent judges suggest that they are a little out of training. D. H. Knight and Pat Lillis have shaped fairly well in practices but the dark horse is probably J. H. Lucas.
