WORK AT MANGATARATA 4811 CUBIC YARDS FOR MONTH The output of the Mangatarata quarry during June, was only 4811 cubic yards reported the engineer, Mr J. C. Clarke to Wednesday’s meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council. Details: — c. yds. Roads and highways — 377 Ngatea-Turua reconstruction 581 Sales ex hopper - - — -- -- 46 Total - — - - “The big crusher has given a lot of trouble during the month. I have had an old shaft re-turned and new bearing fitted; it seems to be running well at the moment. The shaft ordered some months baek has just come to hand for the email crusher. To fit this necessitates dismantling the crusher and taking the drum a foundry to have bearing fitted; this will cause a stoppage for a couple of days,” reported the engineer.
