FALSE PRETENCES ALLEGED COROMANDEL HOSPITAL PLAWT Before Messrs F. Quin and J .T. Johnson, Justices of the Peace, Robert Edward Jamieson appeared at the Te Awamutu Magistrate’s Court recently on a charge that he did obiai* the sum of £7O from Stephen John Harding of Te Awamutu, by means of false pretences representing that he was authorised .to sell a water turbine generating plant which was installed at the Cottage Hospital, Coromandel. The accused, who pleaded not guilty, reserved his defence and was committed to the Hamilton Supreme Court for trial. Detective A. Moore, of Hamilton, conducted the case for the police.
