WORK IN PAEROA
REHABILITATION SCHEMES X BOROUGH IMPROVEMENTS EXTENSION OF THE SEWERAGE Ways and means by which employment'could, be provided after the war for returned soldiers was the subject of a special meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council and at Thursday night’s meeting of the council the following recommendations were approved:— “That the sewerage system be extended and that Mr R. P. Worley, consulting engineer, be asked to compile •tentative plans with estimates of the
cost of reticulating "the areas in Wood street, Bennett street, Coronation street, and Bush street’ with a view to making application for the -work to be carried out.” ' “ That the inclusion of the suggested. scheme for a water supply from Waitawheta be deferred until after the proposed 'conference with the other local bodies; that it be your council’s No. 1 scheme for rehabilitation and the council concentrate on *t in conjunction with the 7 other local bodies.” ■
