DANCE AT NGATEA

PATRIOTIC FUNDS AIDED AN ENJOYABLE EVENING The usual monthly dance organised by the Ngatea Patriotic Committee was held in the Ngatea Public Hall, on Monday evening last. The music was supplied by Kirby’s Collegians, from Thames. Mr E. R. 0. Sherlock was M.C. Novelty dances were enjoyed and a Monte Carlo jazz was won by Mr Crawford (Kopu) and Miss M. James. Extras were provided by Miss P. Johnson (Auckland), Miss D. Stitchbury and Corporal P. McWatters. Those present included: — Mesdames E. R. Sherlock, T. Sydenham, C. H. Waite, F. Connors, M. Reid (Auckland), C. Mclndoe (Kaihere), I. Crosby, R. Dudley, P. Benner, M. Iremonger. Misses C. Hodgson, P. Hunter, N. McLeod, D. Short, N. Bartley (Kerepeehi), B. Osbaldiston, J. Allen (Turua), E.
