SOCIAL NOTES
Mrs Hegh and Miss Yvonne Hegh of Waitakaruru have returned from a visit to Auckland. Mrs G. Yeager, of Waitakaruru, whose husband is overseas, has been staying with her mother, Mrs Jesson, of Kerepeehi. Miss Eileen Dunning, who has been on the staff of the Waitakaruru Post Office for some time, has received notice of her transfer to Wellington. She will be missed by friends and subscribers to the telephone, as she has been so obliging. Mrs V. Gordon, of Canal road, Waitakaruru, has left on a visit to her mother, Mrs Jenkins, of St. Helier’s Bay, Auckland. Mrs G. R. Crisp and her son Colin have returned to Kerepeehi after spending a week in Kohimarama as th§ guest of Mrs J. Anderton. Mrs W. Kidd has returned to her home in Kerepeehi after a visit to her sister, Mrs J. D. Craies, Westmere, Auckland. Mrs Short, Waihi, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs W. Bailey, Kerepeehi. Miss R. Booth, Kerepeehi, who joined the W.A.A.F. has left for a training station. Miss M. Strong, Kerepeehi, has left to join the W.A.A.F. at a training station. Mrs C. Bird, Netherton, has returned home after a month’s visit to Auckland as the guest of Mrs Burnett. Mrs A. G. Shilton, Kerepeehi, is visiting Mrs G. Ellis, Ohakune.
