NETHERTON INSTITUTE KNITTING FOR ARMED FORCES The Netherton Women’s Institute met at the residence of Mi’s C. W. Malcolm recently. Owing to the inclemency of the weather there was only a fair attendance. The president, Mrs A. F. Maude, opened the meeting with the creed. Members took supplis of wool to knit up for the soldiers and several finished articles were returned. Mrs C. Townshend read three most interesting letters from soldiers overseas who had received parcels from the Netherton Patriotic Committee expressing their thanks and appreciation. Mrs Maude thanked Mrs Malcolm for her hospitality for having the meeting at her home and afternoon tea.
