SEPARATORS & TANKS

RUBBISH THROWN IN/DRAINS — • INDIGNATION OF TIhMBOARD ——- 1 Indignation that ratepayers werecontinuing the objectionable practice of using drains as rubbish dumps was expressed at last Thursday’s meeting of the Thames Valley Drainage Board. The matter was mentioned several times in foremen’s reports and also by a committee of board members who had inspected a drain. The drain inspected had been damaged by stock and was blocked with worn-out tanks which had apparently been rolled in. Amongst other interesting items was a worn-out separator. It was decided to notify the owner of the property that the debris must be removed and steps taken to prevent the drain being damaged in future.
