OFFICER DECORATED

AN EFFICIENCY AWARD major McCarroll of Thames Word was received at Thames last week from Colonel T. R. Dawe, Area commander at Paeroa, that Major T. McCarroll, of Thames, had been awarded the Officers’ Efficiency Decoration. This decoration is only given to officers who have had at least 25 years’ service and, of course, have shown marked efficiency in'their duties. Major McCarroll was the recipient of many congratulations when it had become known that he had been awarded this coveted decoration.
