STEADY RAIN

1.99 INCHES FALL IN PAT 7 TA BIG RISE IN TEMPERATURE Steady rain which has fallen in Paeroa during the last four days hasresulted in 1.99 inches of rainfall being recorded at 9 a.m. this morning for the period 15 to 17 June. On June *l5 the rainfall was .17 inches, increasing to .71 inches for June 16 and 1.11 inches for June 17. Throughout this period the wind has been south-east then east, followed by a calm, rising again in the south-east with a gale last night. Although the barometer has fallen steadily since June 14 when 30.33 inches were recorded, to 29.51 at 9 a.m. this morning, the temperature has risen considerably from 39 degrees on June 14 to 59 degrees this morning. j
