REPERTORY THEATRE

ROOM WANTED IN COROMANDEL CONCERT TO BE STAGED SOON At the June meeting of the Coromandel County Council a request was received from- Dr. F. Birkinshaw asking for the use of a room in the county building for rehearsals. He pointed out that the .Coromandel Repertory Theatre would be putting on a concert shortly, the proceeds of which would be for patriotic funds and he asked for the use of a room free of cost in view of the fact that? expenses were being kept at a minimum.

In making the recommendation to accede to Dr. Birkinshaw’s request, the chairman, Mr C. C. Rae, said the efforts of Dr. Birkinshaw and the Repertory Theatre were to be commended; they provided a source of revenue for Patriotic Funds and their activities were appreciated.
