£4970 IN HAND

THIRD LIBERTY LOAN SUBSCRIPTIONS FROM PAEROA With a target of £72,800, the Paeroa district had written subscriptions to the Third Liberty Loan to the tune of some £4970 at closing hour yesterday. This represented merely 28 applications.

Although this is a long way short of the total, it is an indication that some residents have realised their responsibilities in the matter and have wasted no time in doing their duty. It is said “that he gives twice who gives quickly,” and there is little doubt that those who; hasten to make their contributions set an example to. the rest of the community and assist the hardworking gentlemen who are giving their time and energy to the furtherance of the Loan.
