PRETTY WEDDING
SANDERSON—DEATH
BRIDE IN CREAM SATIN GOWN
A very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. George’s Church, Thames, on Saturday, June 5, when Florence, second daughter of Mr and Mrs N. Death, of Kopuarahi, was married to Ray Nelson Sanderson of Hamilton. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a sweeping frock of cream satin forming a train. Her tulle veil was held in place by a top-not of white flowers, and she carried a sheaf of white chrysanthemums.
Misses Irene and Norma Death were the bridesmaids, both wearing pretty figured maize taffeta frocks, with shoulder-length mauve veils and a topnot of flowers. Their shower bouquets were in shadings of mauve. Little Alis’on Nicholson was the flowei- girl, wearing an ankle-length maize frock. She carried a horseshoe of mauve and lemon.
Master H. Death, nephew of the bride, attended her as page boy, wearing cream satin knickerbockers and a long coat. Mr K. Kenson, of 'the R.N.Z.A.F., acted as best man, and Mr T. Woods as groomsman.
The reception was afterwards held in the Masonic Hall, Thames, Mrs Death receiving her guests wearing a smart black costume with white pinstripe, black hat and shoes. Mrs Sanderson, mother of the bridegroom, was attired in a fawn ensemble and 'black accesorsies. The bride travelled in a smart blue frock with black hat, coat and accessories.
The happy couple will make their future home in Auckland.
