3RD. LIBERTY LOAN

ALL SHOULD SUBSCRIBE £250 FROM OHINEMURI COUNCIL At Wednesday’s meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council the chairman, Mr W. Marshall, referred to the 3rd. Liberty Loan which is at present open for subscription, pointing out that everybody who was able should support the loan. He said that it was of the utmost importance that the full amount of the loan —£35,000,000 should be subscribed as the money was needed by the Government to continue the war effort which the Dominion was making. He suggested that the council could make a lead by subscribing itself. On the motion of Mr T. A. Barrett, seconded by Mr J. J. Shallue, the council decided to invest £250 in the 3rd. Liberty Loan.
