FRIDAY NIGHT CLOSING
BOROUGH COUNCIL COMMENT
NO UNANIMITY IN THE TOWN
Regret at the action of some business houses closing on Friday nights while others remained open with no unanimity in the town was expressed at Thursday night’s meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council.
The opinion was expressed that such an unsatisfactory position was merely driving people, especially those from the Plains, to other towns.
After some discussion it was decided to bring the matter before the notice of the Paeroa Chamber of Commerce.
