DEATH OF KT. HON. J. G. COATES

OHINEMURI COUNTY COUNCIL

Reference to the death ci the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates and the great work he had done for the Dominion was made at Wednesday’s meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council, the chairman, Mr W. Marshall, expressing the council’s sympathy with the relatives. In the death of Mr Coates New Zealand had experienced a severe loss, he said. The meeting stood in silence as a mark of respect.

The clerk, Mr A. A. Jenkinson, was instructed to convey the council’s sympathy to Mrs Coates and the relatives.
