WOOL FOR KNITTING
SHORT IN NORTHERN DISTRICTS
QUESTION BY MR SUTHERLAND
Speaking in the House of Representatives last Friday, Mr A. S. Sutherland, M.P. for Hauraki asked the Minister of Supply, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, if the Minister would make early arrangements with the woollen mills to make available to the public greater supplies of wool for knitting purposes. Mr Sutherland maintained that supplies of knitting wool were almost unobtainable in the northern districts at the present time for women’s and children’s winter wear.
