Mayn pointed out that a two to one subsidy would be needed for the work, stating the road was entitled to this subsidy-. Other councillors contended that as most of the ratepayers used the nerties down this road as run-offs aim as they were not living on these pro perties there , were other roads which needed attention before it could . decided to apply to the Government for a free grant to metal the road. .
