DAIRY COWS AND HEIFERS i I FAT CATTLE VALUES RISE The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report an exceptionally heavy yarding of all classes of cattle at their fortnightly sale held at Paeroa on Monday. Yarding and pen space was taxed to the utmost capacity. Dairy cows and heifers were less in demand while unfinished and backward sorts were hard to quit. All fat cattle again showed an improvement while boners were in keen demand, an excellent sale resulting. ! Best dairy cows and heifers made ! from £8 10s to £9 15s; medium, £7 10s to £8 ss; b ackward and inferior, £3 ' 5s to £5 ss; prime quality beef cows and heifers, £8 to £10; medium, £6 ■ 15s to £7 10s; lighter, £5 5s to £6; * light and inferior, £4 10s to £5 ss; I heavy boners, £3 10s to £4 ss; medi ium, £3 to £3 10s; light, £2 8s to £2 i 16s; thin, 35s to £2 ss; heifer calves, .£2 to £2 12s; empty two-year-old heifers, £2 to £3 2s 6d; Hereford heifers, to £4 2s 6d; bulls sold according to weight from £2 to £7 10s.
