2ND LIEUTENANT. D. W. DAVIES FORMER TURUA RESIDENT Information has been received by Mr and Mrs J. T, Davies, of Kopu, that their only son, D. W. Davies, has been promoted to the rank of secondlieutenant in the New Zealand Artillery in the Middle East. Second-Lieutenant Davies left New Zealand with the Second Echelon. He was educated at the Tuma primary and Thames High Schools.
