COMING OF AGE PARTY
ENJOYABLE AWAITI EVENING MR & MRS LOUCH ENTERTAIN Last Monday evening Mr and Mrs H. F. Louch entertained about 25 guests at a surprise party held in their home at Awaiti. The guest of honour, Miss Sybil Tong, of Whakatane; whb had attained her majority, was a niece of Mr and Mrs Louch.
A most enjoyable evening passed only too quickly by playing games. Miss Tong eventually received' the surprise parcel which had (been the round of the guests and when it was opened it proved to be the customary twenty-first birthday key.
A delicious sit-down supper was and a large cake, complete with candles, held pride of place at the head of the table.
Miss Tong was the recipient of many beautiful and useful gifts. Musical honours were accorded the guest of honour and a very happy evening was brought to a close.
