County Accounts .Accounts totalling £640 Ils 6d were passed for payment at the May meeting of the Coromandel Courity Council. County Council Meeting The May meeting of the Coromandel County Council was held on Wednesday, May 12, the chairman, Mr C. C. Rae, presiding. Others present were Crs. A. Watkins, J. G. Strongman, H. C. ’Bull, E. M. Minifie, A. J. ( Denize, T. E. Simpson and J. E. Jackson. The engineer, Mr A. H. Benham, and the clerk, Mr J. H. Lucas, were also in attendance. Annual Meeting of Council At the May meeting of the Coromandel County Council a letter was received from the Counties’ Association advising an amendment regarding the date for holding the annual election of chairman. It was proposed by the chairman, Mr C. C. Rae, and seconded by Cr. T. E. Simpson, “that the annual meeting be. hald at 12 noon on Wednesday, June 9, 1943.”—Carried.
