HAURAKI LODGE
COROMANDEL ODDFELLOWS TWO NEW MEMBERS INITIATED The fortnightly meeting Of the Hauraki Lodge was held in the Lodge Room, Coromandel, on Monday, May 10. The N.G., Bro. V. Powley, presided over a good attendance of members. The sick visitors’ reports proved satisfactory. Two new members were duly initiated into the Order. The secretary reported on the District Conference held in Auckland. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Sister’ E. M. Lucas for her interesting report. After the Lodge Prayer was read, nominations were called for officers for the chairs for the next term, commencing on quarter night, this being next meeting. Lodge closed and a very welcome supper was served by the hostesses for the evening, Sisters P. E. Riley and C. D. Inglis. * Dancing took place interspersed with community singing round the piano. Bro. Powley welcomed Bro. K. Beech and also Mr Max Denize, who was present for the social part of the evening.
