KEREPEEHI COMMITTEE MEETS

COLLECTION OF WASTE PAkER

A patriotic meeting was held in the Kerepeehi Hall on Thursday, May 6, when Mrs A. L. Fisher presided over a fair attendance of members. It was decided that the committeecontact Paeroa waste paper collectors and arrange for the Kerepeehi supply to be railed with shipments from Paeroa. It was pointed out that the quantity collected in Kerepeehi was not sufficient to fill a truck. It was also decided to make an appeal to the settlers in the Kerepeehi area to save all waste paper for the war effort. A bring-and-buy afternoon is to be held shortly to raise funds for the soldiers’ parcel funds. Gifts are needed for this”'cause. Several balaclavas were hand'ed in.
